What a fabulous wedding Katie and Matt put on! Everything was gorgeous, from the bride and groom to the bridal party to the accessories and the venue. And I love love love the color navy!

How did you meet?
Matt and I met in Lake Tahoe at a weekend get-away with about 20 close friends. We hit it off instantly and decided to try dating a year or so later.
How did you decide on Tahoe and the Hyatt for your wedding?
We chose Tahoe since it was the place we met, it was half-way in the middle between both of our families, and it’s such a gorgeous and relaxing setting! The Hyatt had everything in one spot and it was in North Lake, which we both love.
Anything you’d like to share about your jewelry, colors/decor, personal touches?
Both Matt and I are big “blue” fans, so navy it was! We’re both very outdoorsy people, so we really liked tying things together with pine cones.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding?
Taking pictures down by the water and having all of the wedding guests cheer us on! Our first dance together was complete with our float toy, Harry the Hippo. He’s sort of a mascot for our crazy group of friends! And the father/daughter dance.
Do you have a favorite photograph?
I have a TON of faves, but the ones towards the end of the night with everyone on the dance floor sporting different props from the photo booth gear has to be in my top 5! The sunset photo of Matt dipping me with my leg peeking out from my dress; Matt and me during our first-look photos; and the two of us after the ceremony by our signage.
