My name is Nina, and I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based at Lake Tahoe, in the gorgeous Sierra Nevada right at the California/Nevada border. I’m known for my creative, contemporary vision and sometimes daring angles to provide timeless photographs to remember your big day by. Thanks to my background in graphic design, composition as well as simple, clean album designs come naturally to me.
My approach to weddings is a fusion of photojournalism, formal group portraiture, and fun, directed portraits of bride and groom, which look natural and unposed. I strive to capture your personalities through all the big moments, intimate moments, the emotions, laughter, tears, stunning portraits, delicate details, and everything in-between. You will love the soft romantic close-ups as well as the vibrant landscapes by the lake.
I’m familiar with Lake Tahoe and know how to photograph in the crisp, bright light up here. It takes an acquired skill set to bring out the Tahoe blue while also casting the subjects in flattering light. Even though I live and work around Lake Tahoe / Reno, I absolutely love to explore new locations and would be happy to travel to San Francisco, Mill Valley, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Halfmoon Bay, or anywhere else in the San Fransico Bay area or Northern California or Nevada for your wedding or engagement photos. I have photographed weddings as far away as Greece and Germany, my home country.
